My Testimony
I grew up in the local church and I'm in 7th grade right now. I got saved this year in April. My salvation was a wonderful experience. For the first time, our locality took the 6th graders to a camp, Camp Shenandoah Springs. We were there for a week of horseback riding, canoeing, eating, and most of all, enjoying the Lord. In the meetings we sang, prayed and enjoyed verses from the Bible. The Lord was moving in me and nudging me to open to Him. In the last meeting, we were given a chance to pray to receive the Lord. Some of us prayed with our serving ones and asked the Lord to come into us. I had a great experience that night! Getting saved is the most important decision I have made or will ever make in my life. A few weeks later, I, and my sixth grade peers got baptized. My best friend in the local church was unsure about getting saved, so I called her, and encouraged her to get baptized as well. She did, and I'm sure she doesn't regret it. Verses that stick out in my mind are John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that everyone who believes into him would not perish, but have eternal life and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized shall be saved. That is only one of the great experiences I've had in the local church, and I look forward to my future life in the Lord!
